I’m delighted we won, delighted for Howe who got it right again as he tends to do against these sides but it will mean next to nothing and tell us very little about this side or him as a coach if we fail to beat or stink the place out bs Brentford. Just like it did after arse/city games etc.
Imagine wanting consistency from a team capable of taking points off Liverpool , city and arsenal. Dismissal of the season so far, of the majority of the performances against worse teams cannot be done because we raise our game at home against the top sides.
My only frame of reference for Bromley is Richard Richard’s insight into the place: “Now look here you roustabouts! I used to live in Bromley. Yeah. And that's a pretty wild place. And I picked up one or two tips on punch-ups when I was there.”
Ownership are certainly not blameless, you're quite right. However the current squad and starting 11 should be able to put in far superior performances than they have done this season.
It’s 100% sad mate. I want nothing more than for him to be in the dugout come August because that means he’s either won a trophy or got into Europe again. Anything less and he won’t be there .
We are and have been playing like a mid table team since January 2024. Suitably we’re smack bang in the mid table and there’s lots of reasons for this. The one few wish to say out loud is that we have a mid table manager on Howe. Harsh but one season finishing fourth won’t convince me otherwise.
Getting only 1 point against West Ham and Palace considering their position in the league is a disaster man. Never mind the inability to get a single shot on target against CP.
No Europe at all would spell the end for Howe, 100%. The only saving grace for him in that scenario is if he wins a trophy. The League Cup QF is comfortably our biggest game of the season for me.
Only palace and Southampton (19th and 20th) have scored less goals than us this season .
Finishing was once again lacking , how many times does this need to happen for it to be called a concern and not just a one off or unlucky in front of goal.
Regressive performance from @newcastleunitedfc.bsky.social tonight . Really poor all around bar a very intense opening 5 minutes. Poor goal to concede but that can be forgiven, the mentality and heads dropping is really worrying though.
MATCHDAY! Finally, no more international football until March! A favourable set of fixtures ahead, time to continue the European football push. HWTL! #nufc
Monday night feels soooo far away still…
Here’s a bit of insight into West Ham via Mark Carlaw of the West Ham way.
Spoiler: he thinks the hammers are bad & will lose to #nufc

I haven’t played through DA: Veilguard or Metaphor yet but I’d have to say my game of the year is AstroBot. A love letter to 3D platformers, the genre I grew up with . What really seals it for me though is that’s been the first game I’ve been able to play with my children. They are obsessed.
What TOG is that jumper Char? It looks aggressively comfortable.
Fingers crossed we can get enough accounts across so that we can bin the bird app altogether . It’s so refreshing to see a timeline filled with actual content and not bots/spam/ rhetoric

Go!
Maybe a niché post this but looking for any videogame recommendations as I'm in a bit of a lull at the moment.
It’s essentially medieval mass effect 2 , which is all good in my book.
It’s match day ! #NUFC
