I e always found metrics, like stats, to be useful. They can be smoke to investigate a fire. What I've never found to be useful, is treating them as goals. Maximizing metrics should never be the goal.

Is why most games have logarithmic/exponential scaling honestly. Our brains see % increases. Iirc there's studies that show animals function similarly. They'll notice the difference between 2 and 3 fruits but not 6 and 7.
Ppl not realizing that linear scaling doesn't feel linear. Is why many players in competitive shooters use "Time to Kill" instead.
In short I think raising the awareness that she's doing this specifically to spite the original big three cast. Who support trans rights and are still beloved in the HP sphere. That's how you disarm the fans, imo.
I don't know the last time destroying someone's nostalgia made them friendly towards me. And I think it's fine to hold onto whatever positive things the movies/books gave you. But the line should be drawn at continuing to give her money that she weaponizes against transfolk.
I honestly don't think it'd help that much. There's roughly 3 types of ppl supporting her.
1) TERFs. They support her actions not her work. Not winning them over.
2) Uninformed. This category absolutely exists. Not everyone is online. So raise awareness of her actions, not product.

After hearing even more context - that she's doing this explicitly to spite the original cast for supporting trans rights - I have to agree. There's no amount of "oh I didn't know" that can save them at this point tbh.
Like do we really need an explanation for why Ash is 10 or why Pokemon Red and FireRed have different species available? Absolutely not. It's fun to think about, but settling on an explanation restricts future games and adds marginal benefit
Essentially, I think canon *can* be important to games but it doesn't *need* to. And I think pushing a centralized canon onto games that don't need it, ends up hurting them
I like the idea of Canon. Especially for stories. Consistency is a big one for immersion and buy-in. But I don't think games need to adhere in the same way books do. Especially because many games have updates, etc.

So because the contracts are with the studio and not the developer, the contracts can't help you if the developer decides to misuse your voices. And you don't see another way to find that security aside from the interim agreement because it's signed by the developer
I pulled this from the SAG website, if I'm looking at the correct interim agreement, this implies signing the agreement auto-signs whatever final agreement SAG creates in the future. Asking HYV to trust SAG seems like a big ask.
This is the part you've lost me. Why is it neccesary for the *union* to secure these anti-AI contracts. Is it insufficient have anti-AI riders in your current contract? China also has anti-AI laws.
