This Friday is Native American Heritage Day.
A great resource is the "Native Land Digital" site - native-land.ca
Put in any address (such as where you live) to see which indigenous peoples lived in that location.
Then click on the links for those nations to learn more about them.

Telling teachers to build relationships doesn’t make them know how to do it.
Explaining that undesirable student behavior is often communication of an unmet need and that they should respond with empathy & curiosity instead of frustration or anger doesn’t help either.

Teachers should also be evaluated by ppl who are still teaching & not admin who have not been in the classroom for many years. When I taught HS, my first evaluator was Chair of the whole district & had…4 years of teaching experience. He was scared of ss & his feedback were ridiculously unhelpful

One way to address AI is to change our focus from the end product to the process.
In Google Classroom, or whatever your LMS, instead of asking for "submit an essay" which is a task ChatGPT can do... ask for a journal of their learning.
