I’m taking a class about vampire lit and cinema. Last night we were talking about Perfume, and the fact that it encompasses multiple genres—and that’s what makes it fascinating.

Sinners is similar. It doesn’t sit in one genre firmly, but it is a horror/vampire film. That genre is a broad.

Y'all remember Bong Joon-ho's quote about how if you overcome the one-inch barrier of subtitles you can find so many more amazing films?

Do that with horror. You don't have to like everything but I promise we've got stuff for you if you just get over the barrier of genre.

40 plus deaths of Indigenous involving police in the last 3 years. We really need an overhaul of a system that's killing our people in these numbers.
