i don’t agree with zohran’s politics, but he ran an amazing campaign. credit where credit is due. for better or worse, this is a sign of the times.

everything you write in public will eventually end up being scraped — regulation is just a stopgap
just like liquidity seeks the best returns, or goods end up with those who want them the most, information wants to be free
our uni moved from lan to wifi a year after i joined — i saw culture and community degrade in real time
truly a blissful time
milady you have to stop
your drip too hard
your aura too strong
your traits too rare
they'll kill you
true i had to mute some when i logged in too
also been trying custom feeds to see if they are better, the discover feed is just anti-twitter content
same just logged in earlier today and so far so good
maybe we’re on different parts of the algo feed
tbd but it definitely feels calmer
many greats have a core collection of works they study deeply, and draw inspiration from throughout their lives.
slowly building mine.
hard agree on defi comparision.
with defi we’ve crossed the rubicon of “will it work” (yes) and “is it better than current systems” (hell yeah)
we ask nuanced questions like “can this scale to trillions” and “does this have venture returns”
desci isn’t even close to defi on credibility

makes sense
the op governance analogy is spot on, it feels exactly like that with a veil of “for the greater good”
is it just early or is there no hope at all?
some writers i follow have been criticising grant processes, research incentives and academia at large for a while
haven’t looked into desci but it felt like a recourse to that
just setting up my bsky
