I can’t tell the difference between a porpoise and a dolphin in the sea. They were very close and I still wasn’t sure!

A book for our times, unfortunately. Read this years ago and I’ve just read it again, although its content had always stayed with me. Because it’s chilling. And it feels too close for comfort.
It’s a very short and accessible epistolary novel.
We are over the moon to see this news! This SLF award matches their recent successful community share campaign.
Credit to the hard work of everyone involved, well done all! Community power in action!
No more Beewashing please! Why beekeeping doesn't help conserve bees. Pls RT if you agree.

These children-killing strikes seem to be acceptable to people. I don’t know what else to say about it.
It’s the ‘but’ and the hierarchy of love that reveals everything.
Amazing news: as part of this DTAS has created a new £5 million Recovery & Resilience fund for our members over the next 2 yrs.The forward thinking of @foundationscotland.bsky.social means we can help DTAS members gain stability, build capacity & future-proof their operations/impact across Scotland
“The war's horrors multiply. The dead, the pieces of the dead. The dying. The starving. More and more of them now …
The urge to avert our gaze can be overpowering.”

Such an important reminder from @davidgurteen.bsky.social. When we prioritise connection before content, we create the trust and openness needed for real collaboration. It’s easy to jump straight to tasks, but without strong relationships, the work suffers.
Witnessing Labour trying to mimic Reform with migrant raid videos is sickening & will simply reinforce Reform’s messages. Just months after race riots, it also risks encouraging further animosity. We need safe & legal routes for asylum seekers, not boasts about which party can be cruellest
I worry about walking past people by accident at these things, esp when there’s no delegate list and I’ve no idea who’s there.
But yes, good to feel out collective strength and sense of purpose! We make a huge difference.
Oh did I miss you? 😐
So looking forward to #SCVOGathering tomorrow. A packed day in prospect 👍🏻
Welcome!
And it’s dog friendly (although mine doesn’t deserve to be readmitted 😬)

Read how @bikes4refugees.bsky.social supports refugees and people seeking asylum:
👏🏻 Bike reuse -refurbishing bicycles for a long life - could be so much easier with standard components.
Affordable access to bikes changes lives.
Let’s make it easier.
Check that out for modal shift!
Giving wee people free access to bikes means fewer car journeys 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
No alternative to flattening our green spaces for unaffordable new build homes ? But there is !
Read the briefing and send it to your MP . We need HomesForEveryone.org
Pedestrianised streets are a destination, not just a route.

With his usual good humour, DG cuts through a lot of the nonsense expressed about garden rewilding.
A BIG thanks to @patrickharvie & other supporters for the parliamentary motion celebrating our milestone of #3000 refugees/asylum seekers supported with essential mobility & freedom of movement 🚴♀️💞🕊

This was an interesting watch for lots of reasons, not least how to work towards increasing the involvement of people with lived experience of trauma in the running of an organisation.
