And if you've established that you'll cold call for non-urgent stuff... welll.... *click*
Just musing on the many reasons I don't like using the phone. Could be the years I spent in IT fielding endless phone calls, or egregious amount of spam calls I get.
But I think ultimately I feel there is something fundamentally distasteful about cold calling regardless of circumstance.
Don't get me wrong, if I need shit done at work I will be that guy and just ring people, but by extension if you received a cold call from me at work, shit's probably urgent hey.
AITAH - If you don't message me first, or send a meeting invite, don't expect me to answer the phone.
Why?
- A message is Async, saying "I would like a response, when your free".
- A phone call is Synchronous "I assume am more important than whatever your doing now, give me response immediately".
I recognised a few polyhaven assets too. For shame!
It's about addictive game design (yess!!) And predatory monetization (fuck yessss!!)
Good fun, and I think I have a better understanding/appreciation for why 3D lighting bleeds, shadows suck etc.
I recon there is a better way to accumulate/track changes over time to get rid of the ghosting of the light source, but this is bad enough as it is. 1 light = your whole frame budget!
How not to do 2D Light in #GodotEngine
1. Cast a 180 bouncy rays in GDscript and grid walk em to make a low res image
2. Jitter dem bounces for extra spice
3. Accumulate and blend over several frames lumin style, because who doesn't like laggy lighting!
4. Blur for daaays!
Result = "Some Jank"
I do like invincible! Though more the comic than the anime, I'll wishlist it and wait for sales I guess ^^
Should post the link here for visibility!
Is it fun? I keep seeing it popup, but I kinda burnt out on telltale style games back in the day so wasn't sure if it was my vibe.

Quick cloud shader test :)

Thanks! It's not that I don't or don't like to learn from a teacher, I just don't want to be shown the details to a problem until I have had a crack at solving it myself.
It's not a whole vid, it's the one where he does a gamejam about a vacuum cleaning super hero, he just has a rabbit hole moment into rope physics ^^
Also I tend to kinda not look at other peoples code and try to figure it out myself from the general concept, otherwise I'm not really learning anything.
Evening (or twos) tinkerings in #GodotEngine.
Yes I am aware 'Simpsons did it' (SebLague), but my way is decisively worse, as it contains unstable elastic behavior lol.
All GDscript though, assumed it would get too exxy to fast, but pleasantly surprised.
How I feel a year+ on from tinkering with sand stack. It's 90+% finished and has been for a long time :(
"A feeling based on fact"
So vibes then -.-
...When's that CME due. I want to turn humanity off and back on again.
"The question is not if we are on the side of the ayatollahs, nobody is. The question is whether we are in favour of peace and international legality,"
as
"You cannot answer one illegality with another, because that is how the great catastrophes of humanity begin"
Spain PM dropping straight facts.
Cloud look dev for #WildCosmos.
I still need to make it more performant and apply this system across the whole game, but I like the current direction :)

fuck yeah
Remember, don't genetically engineer crabs to be as big as men.
Ghostface Killah
Conceptually fine, but my preference would be a simpler repeating shader effect/animation or the like. Otherwise my pedant eye is drawn to anomalous things like this where the border is occasionally missing/different.
Hmm maybe the border is there already but it's barely noticeable. Thicker/darker
Prefer blue to green for sure, but not sure what these artifacts are?
Personal preference, but larger fonts, or better yet the ability to specify (maybe you do this alrdy) would help in my mind, and maybe a 1px thick dark grey border on all fronts to add a bit more contrast?
