1. This is terrible.
2. This is such a BS claim from a university: “We are committed to teaching students how to think, not what to think.” No! We do, in fact, commit to teaching you what to think. You sign up for a psych course, you have to learn psychology. You can ignore it later if you choose.

My students' essays for GWS 250 were AMAZING! A true joy to read!!

What an incredible experience to end my career as a TA. So grateful to all of them and their wonderful work!

What do you know about anti-gender movements? How do they communicate? Are they Catholic?

This, and much more, in my newest publication:

I am so grateful I got to work with this group of talented and thoughtful students this semester! Our class was a bright part of this otherwise challenging and frustrating semester.

We spent the last full week of GWS 250 exploring our campus museums (Spurlock Museum of World Cultures and Krannert Art Museum).

We had excellent conversations with our guides focused on scales (and chronotopes!) of representation and thinking about ethical decolonial practices in the museum.

The first school to market itself as AI free is going to corner the market on people interested in actually learning. And I would not be surprised if rich families and the children of people creating this tech were the first movers.

I dislike being woken up by an asthma attack (this cold front has me feeling so screwed up! 🥲) but also sort of appreciate being “rescued” from dream me’s dilemma of figuring out toll roads while driving a haunted mini van in the ocean 😟🤨😅

Ah, what a relief--the "You would have been better off as a real doctor" discourse has entered the family chat...as justification for the fat-shaming that preceded it.

A president can’t even call for the execution of the elected officials trying to stop his assault on the law anymore, because of woke. Just kidding, he can and did call for their execution

The entire post is beyond stupid, divorced from facts, and a parody of "the immigrant stole your cookie"-ism," but I want to call out "groceries cost too much" as one particular stupidity.

Over 40% of farmworkers picking crops are undocumented! Deport them and prices go UP!

I’m sick of writing about dead trans people | Xtra Magazine For 15 years, I hoped my words would change something. Now I’m grieving the world that could’ve been

A sobering reflection Kai Cheng Thom today for #TransDayofRemembrance

"We grieve. And we keep going. And maybe 15 years from now, or 50, or 500, we will live in a different world."

The baristas at your local café may be able to know your order on sight when you come in.

Can you say the same about your pharmacists? Because I can ✨

Love my local support systems ☕️💊🙏😂 💁🏻‍♀️

Media seem obsessed with framing a story with someone “breaking their silence”

It’s not an exiled whistleblower…it’s Sophie Trudeau mentioning her ex’s relationship with the woman who sings about being a plastic bag drifting through the wind.

Teaching a course with students from all years and so many disciplines:

1st and 2nd years: I am terrified of this paper—I’ve never written 5 pages before.

4th years: omg we are doing worksheets? I forgot how cute these are.

All of them: NEVER write their names on their assignments, EVER.

🥹😂🥲
