2. This is such a BS claim from a university: “We are committed to teaching students how to think, not what to think.” No! We do, in fact, commit to teaching you what to think. You sign up for a psych course, you have to learn psychology. You can ignore it later if you choose.

I am so grateful I got to work with this group of talented and thoughtful students this semester! Our class was a bright part of this otherwise challenging and frustrating semester.
We spent the last full week of GWS 250 exploring our campus museums (Spurlock Museum of World Cultures and Krannert Art Museum).
We had excellent conversations with our guides focused on scales (and chronotopes!) of representation and thinking about ethical decolonial practices in the museum.
The first school to market itself as AI free is going to corner the market on people interested in actually learning. And I would not be surprised if rich families and the children of people creating this tech were the first movers.
I dislike being woken up by an asthma attack (this cold front has me feeling so screwed up! 🥲) but also sort of appreciate being “rescued” from dream me’s dilemma of figuring out toll roads while driving a haunted mini van in the ocean 😟🤨😅
My chapter has stumbled into poli sci approaches to news media and I am scared. 😱
