Wish I was back here making photographs. I have so many more sheets of film to get through.

Back to work tomorrow. But until then, another photograph from Aches NP. I’m so happy these lands are protected. Let’s keep them that way!

So many amazing protected lands to explain one photograph. Let’s keep them protected.

Back to some days off… and I can work on scanning some negatives
From Grand View Point Overlook, I was able to look back at the La Sal’s and capture the snow capped peaks, the canyons of Canyonlands NP, and the moon overhead.
We need our protected spaces, and we should strive to keep them safe. They are there for us all to enjoy, in our collective treasures.
Winter aspens up in the La Sal Mountains.
Aspens always have a soft place in my heart. They are so light and sensitive. And they are at risk… environmental changes are damaging these groves. I hope we can continue to protect and enjoy these majestic and powerful groves.
This was such a fun photograph to make. It’s the same spot Ansel Adam’s made his 1958 Monument Valley photograph. Day was not perfect, but it was a joy!
