he definitely sounds more Japanese than many Japanese people in his outlook in a lot of this interview.

I think they promoted him too soon and set him up to fail. it is very sad.
oh hey, speaking of yokozuna that I don't think they treated right - I'm watching this interview with Hakuho that might interest you www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKUh...
especially don't go look for the one where he told the kids they were getting a snow dayπ
make sure you don't watch any of his videos thenπ₯Ή
I grew up poor and am the opposite extreme, afraid to spend money in case I need it later. and this is also "bad with money" in some situations - like right now we have to *urgently* remodel a bathroom that we should have done years ago but put off in large part because the cost seemed so painful
the theme of this year really seems to be One Damn Thing After Anotherπ’
I'd like to get these inside fortune cookies instead of the weird personal remarks and advice they give you instead of predictions now
relatableπ¬
agreed. it's stressful to be constantly wondering if a UFO is landing nearby
yes! I used to have a Flickr album 36 Views of Tokyo Skytree ("used to" because now there are too many). you could do 100 without breaking a sweat.
oh yeah! weird. wonder which of todayβs trends will vanish so thoroughly
ugh! dinosaurs are for everyone!π

youβd think sheβd be happier that spring is coming?
Bluesky wanted me to give it a birthday to use it on the web because apparently geolocation was wrong about what state I am in? multiple emails back and forth with support did not resolve this so I gave up and put a date inπ€·ββοΈ

sometimes the problem is not the language barrierπ₯²
omg wtf there are like half a dozen legal spots available right there
you should read the manga Dinosaur Sanctuary! a couple of escape stories but no human deaths and it's really about what it's like to be a zookeeper.
source: I am the editor of the English edition (but this is not self promotion because I don't get any more money if you buy itπ₯²)

frolicking in the fabric flowers, dreaming of spring

That is completely believable and there's a life lesson here that I'm taking away and thanking you for: sometimes you don't need to make a difficult choice between two somewhat similar things, you can just get BOTH
a bowl of potatoes
hey we miss you! who will we show our potatoes to now?π₯²
that is quite a collection of mochi ice cream. I'm particularly impressed by the mango from two different brands.
Seems wrong to Like this one π₯
wish I was thereπ₯² thanks for these
I buy a lot of Kindle books and not that many physical books anymore but I need to make sure to buy physical books from Bookshop. I do buy ebooks of manga from Bookwalker when possible and it's actually a superior experience
ooh this was just happening to me. ended up ordering from Bookshop which I ought to do more anyway
I definitely think at least part of it is the lack of headphone jacks. it was easier for annoying selfish people to be less annoying and selfish when they had headphone jacks. but now that they don't, they won't make the extra effort
also easier to control the hours you work
so how about just an aquarium installation/maintenance company? seems like that would be a lot easier to start up and less risky than a brick and mortar store.
