I was thinking “Dr. Nah”
@neivet
Ah, this is nice. I was Ginger on Making Light, and still am. Veterinarian, invertebrate punster, openly sarcastic, happily married lesbian mom and grandma, ruled by cats. I speak a few languages, but am hard-of-hearing in all of them. Fully vaccinated.
I was thinking “Dr. Nah”
Wait, maybe Skysummer is more casual

The Wall Street Journal is now walking back its earlier reporting that "transgender ideology" messages were found on the shooter's ammunition.
But it's too late. That story is all around the country and the world. Most who have read it will not see the update.
Thanks, WSJ.
…and perhaps a copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves? “Here, take these - oh, and this book. Share the knowledge wisely”
Happy Birthday!
Twitter Bio for @cfpb_tipline: "Are you being pursued by CFPB enforcement or supervision staff, in violation of Acting Director Russ Vought's stand down order? If so, DM us or send an email"
Russ Vought set up a CFPB snitch line where you can report any work by the agency still trying to do its job as legally mandated by Congress. It would be a real shame if this was flooded with false tips and wild goose chases...

The cool thing about the late night comedians is that Trump watches and obsesses over them. And that it eats him up.
I believe it. Those “HR” emails ring all the phishing bells we’re trained on, which is why a majority of us have not replied and have reported the emails as phishing. Phuck them.
Whoever it was in Gossamer Axe by Gael Baudino (1990 book)
I took a bunch of arts including a drawing/painting class that taught me ways to convey visual information - which comes in handy when documenting lesions on the patient’s chart & when designing presentations.
The existing in-house SMA generally stay on top of those items.
Demotivating is when Congress fails to do their work, leaving us with yet another Continuing Resolution (and de facto budget cuts). Having another Trump Admin is enraging.
Every agency has people whose jobs are to manage the political appointees.
He’s not frowning enough for defiance. That’s fear and obliviousness I see.
Oof.
Self selection for Darwin Awards, always sad.
Don’t tell them that actual carnivores eat the fur and guts, right?
Yes, H1N1, not H1N5. Most of the H1N(other than 5) circulate mainly in pigs. H1N1 was/is Swine Flu.
Or even for stop signs, as if those don’t exist. Even firefighters driving apparatus through neighborhoods (to familiarize themselves, not on a response) blow through stop signs.
I thought it was H5N1 that was one step away from action — and the H1 influenzas mainly circulate in pigs?
An ever-shrinking number of drivers come to a “full and complete stop” at any red light (or stop sign) much less look around for anything that isn’t a vehicle. Part of what we need, sadly, is enforcement of those laws in addition to protected spaces.
Optimist: The cup is half full
Pessimist: The cup is half empty
Veterinarian: This is the wrong cup — where’s that urine sample Mx Smith brought in today?
It’s giving flashbacks to ugly shag rug and beaded curtains
Active listening to as many people as I can. It’s a leadership skill, it’s not easy, but it’s rewarding.
This thread explains human genders very nicely. I remember learning these as an undergraduate in an advanced genetics seminar.

The sad thing is he actually was a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon. He just found that he could make more money with less effort by grifting.
