For a long time, the properties of metastable polymorphs have been inferred by analogy to those of the stable phase, which can lead to misleading conclusions.
Here we compare the properties of the three most common polymorph and highlight phase-dependent differences.
Really excited to see Lewis' first first paper now published!
In that study Lewis undertook a systematic investigation of the optical properties of different #Ga2O3 polymorphs using UVβvis spectrophotometry and photoluminescence.

Recent PhD graduate, Dr Cait McCarry, has just returned from an expedition to the Southern Ocean to measure the optical properties of krill. This will let her develop a new algorithm to monitor them from space.

Atomic scale observation of threading dislocations in Ξ±-Ga2O3
We took loooots of nice images of Burgers circuits and misplaced atoms at dislocations in #Ga2O3 using transmission electron microscopy.
