Here's the first full minute of my animation, I'm working on the next sequence which I'll post below and I'm VERY excited about.
probably my favorite illustration I did for Scholar's Codex, for the Elden Ring section @tuneandfairweather.bsky.social
"Marika bathed the village of her home in gold,
knowing full well that there was no one to heal."

a great show, it really had everything I want to see on screen (nudity, great costume design, maggie gyllenhaal and characters I feel very conflicted about)
love this record!
They are great. I was a little skeptical about the journal mechanic at first but I really love it! I'm finding the whole thing very inspiring
time to play Season: A Letter to the Future and inhabit the fantasy of being a person with a robust sketchbook practice
a traditional painting of herons in flight among trees, green, pink and white hues
I painted herons in flight. medium: Nicker poster colour on Arches watercolour paper
My highest of recommends for this game -- and a little drawing inspired by it! โค๏ธโ๐ฅ

Jan's art for KROMLECH is incredibly cool and inspiring, and this team could use some eyes on the game during its early access ๐
A page from my sketchbook, 3 drawings of flower chafer beetle and 1 grub.

Photo of a goose begging for snacks
Photo of a goose guarding his wife
the two faces of goose:
"give me snacks"
and
"get the fuck away from my wife"
same and really it's why I was a terrible concept artist. Turning up to meetings and unhelpfully saying "but it doesn't mean anything" ๐ซค
Cover art for City of Beasts, part of the Memories of the Eagle and the Jaguar Series by Isabel Allende, the image features a python and a jaguar angrily tangled around each other
Here's the full art without the text! Prints available here: www.inprnt.com/gallery/ashm...
perfect solution to any problem
ah that's guaranteed! a historical visual novel with gardening mechanics is basically my ideal game
I'm going to play @edwigelel.bsky.social's The Abbess Garden instead ๐ store.steampowered.com/app/3411970/...
Oh no, I did the landscape equivalent of just drawing one very detailed eye

When you intend to work on your painting from yesterday but you look at it and don't know what to do because today you're a different person
maybe... if I ever convince a wren to step into a sunbeam in front of my camera
digital painting of a barn owl
digital painting of a buzzard
digital painting of a kestrel
Last year I decided to put my health first and take an extended break from paid illustration. I found I had an inexplicable compulsion to document all the birds I can see from my house in the most time consuming way possible.
Some predators:
only 5 years to wear a lab coat (??) to work and participate in history like that? seems like a bargain!
I wasn't sure about including the barn owl because while I definitely saw a large white bird flying past a few times at 16:45 on a winter evening it's hard to say with certainty what it was! But there's one living in the woods nearby that's often seen hunting by day - maybe you'll see another weirdo
I do, usually something like 7000 px or more on the longest side. I like to zoom in to 100% so I feel like I'm working really big and can be loose with brush strokes. Then on my second monitor I have the same file zoomed to print size so I can check I'm not going completely insane with detail
Thank you!
I'm honoured!
It really depends, not including shooting the reference could be anywhere between 7 and 40 hours of painting
oh maybe! I don't get many sales on there and shipping makes it too expensive to order test prints so I don't update frequently. If you requested something I'd probably upload it (but also like.. no pressure to actually order haha)
screenshot of an unticked list of birds: great tit, grey heron, pink footed goose, herring gull, carrion crow, lapwing, peregrine, sparrowhawk, blackcap, gold crest, wren, redwing, sparrow, goldfinch, pheasant
Still got a couple left to paint tho...
