Prime Minister Carney’s speech felt historic. A call for a values based pragmatism of fluid coalitions. He was speaking on a macro level, but it’s a framework for resistance. Be pragmatic. Do 1 thing. Cancel google. Change email. Fight corporate surveillance.

Please read comments on this post. @carrigalpin.bsky.social rightfully called us out for our imprecise language. She is a doctor who cares for the poor and her comments are passionate and couldn’t be better articulated.
We will keep striving to be more careful with our word choice.

Ah, I understand how our wires are crossed. I wrote healthcare and should have been more precise in my language. I didn’t mean to throw doctors and nurses under the bus.
Do people understand that insurance is pooling risk? That we pay in knowing we may never financially benefit? That healthcare is a bastard insurance? That we don’t pool our risk with all Blue Cross customers, but only fellow employees? That on ACA we pool our risk with no one?

ICE is running ads on Spotify.

We showed up in deep red Southeast, New England, Texas and the Rockies. We brought people who had never been to a protest before. This big guy misted up and wiped away tears because bc it was inspiring. And I felt community. Take a few days to take it in. And let’s get back to work.
