The inaugural John Bruton Award for Leadership in Faith and Public Life was presented at St Patrick’s College Patron’s Day to Dermot McCarthy. This award recognises a person who has demonstrated moral courage, integrity, and a lived commitment to Catholic values in public or professional life.
Tobias Winright, Professor of Moral Theology (SPPU), will give a lecture on 'Enforcement or Fear? Guns and Policing' as part of a Lenten series hosted by the Diocese of Ossory on Monday, 16 March, at 7pm, St. Kieran's College. The event is free and open to the public

Dr Hugo Slim, Director of the Las Casas Institute for Social Justice at Blackfriars Hall in Oxford, offered a research seminar today to faculty and staff of St Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth. The seminar explored the question of “The Church and Humanitarian Aid in War and Disaster.”
