Now we are back to making it closer to 90k. Itβs both exhausting and exhilarating being back in the world, finding and keeping the bits we love, shuffling things around, and creating new or modified scenes. Hopefully we will be done in about a month.
Currently working on edits to a book one of my besties and I started ten years ago. It was 90k words. We were told by a (now out of business) publisher to double it for the 6 povs we had and add chapters with backstories. And we did. Butβ¦

Tea Tale - a new book inspired by RPGs. Itβs release day! Tea Tale is my new book from Space Wizard Science Fantasy. Inspired by my love of RPGs, tea, my favorite winter things, and doing the side quests in RPGs. It's the sequel to Tavern Tale and it's out today!
I had to go back and find what brought ME joy with book 1 and do it again. And finally I broke through. Iβm so dang proud of my sequel now.

The sequel to my debut was so hard. I focused on making it as good as the first one, convinced myself that the story was boring, was afraid it wasnβt cozy enough and the characters werenβt what my readers wanted.
