I have it on back order and my US suppliers are just starting to get their copies in, so I should have it shipped soon although they're getting less reliable... Anyway, about a fortnight if I'm lucky.

Another piece of my past gone.
Reminds me people will be saying something like that about me in the not too indefinite future. Part of life I'd rather do without, only I can't.

Glad it went well and I hope you get a distribution deal soon!
Sixty years on, a Star Trek writer is still creating strange new worlds. Diane Duaneβs early days writing fan fiction have led to a remarkable career as a novelist, comic writer and screen writer.
I see Dan Simmons died last week.
Why not book your ticket now?

I thought I had read both versions but I really don't recognise the magazine or collection it appeared in. Definitely read the novel though because it's on my bookshelves!
I liked them both when I read them but tried to re-read Man Who Melted and paused 1/2 way through quite a while ago... Still intend to re-read Junction though.

I remember seering these covers about, but the only one of his I owned, iirc, was the PKD The Penultimate Truth one www.isfdb.org/wiki/images/...

Not read him for years (although I think I still have both the titles pictured) but I did track down the film they made of Turtle Diaries quite recently, which was fun in a reserved kind of way.
Sorry to hear this; I used to enjoy his reviews and met him a few times when he was (iirc) the reviews editor for the List and I was writing short sf&f reviews for it... The late 80s I guess.
Only book of his i've read was Waiting for the Galactic Bus.
It was ok.
I have literally hundreds of photos from the last 15 years of empty stages I've taken pictures of after the performance was over! Everything from a lone bar stool to a multi-drummer rock band and all their gear...
Sad to see this morning that Sly Dunbar has died. It used to be easy buying dub reggae; you just looked for Sly & Robbie's names on the back and you knew the drums & bass would be good!
Also saw them live 2 or 3 times - great stuff, especially their own short set supporting Grace Jones years ago...

I need at least 3 more folk to sign up for my Edinburgh Adult Education Programme archaeology classes at Craigentinny, or the course will be cancelled. If you know anyone who might be interested, please let them know. Thank you!

And he's finally away after several minutes of annoying everybody
Ridiculously loud noise outside, which turns out to be an idling motorbike 30 yards up the road...
Just had Marieanne Gordon in signing her new paperback, The Antlered King...
