Or an even more direct approach, if they're taking Putin as a role model
Politicians need to start explaining this to voters otherwise they will get the blame for the rising cost of living. This is America and Trumpβs doing.

I don't think people think enough about the fact that by far the vast majority of human history is completely or almost completely unknown to us. This battle was 3200 years ago and we know almost nothing. But modern humans emerged like 300,000 years ago. We know nothing about 99% of human history.
GenderGP's business model seems to be to charge for access to doctors - their website says they take no liability for healthcare / advice either on the website itself or provided by those "partner" doctors. Not sure that would fly in the UK, but maybe it does in Singapore?

A question I asked has exposed your inability to evidence the idea that PBs give kids time to think. You may feel that lack of evidence isn't a reason to ban them; other people disagree (including the government, based on an NHS England review that pointed at lack of evidence for their use).
Again, I haven't made any claims at all.
This very straight news piece buried deep within the FT never uses words like corruption or insider dealing but every detail is quietly devastating. Why is the FT virtually alone in the UK media in covering this important story?
If you claim PBs provide time to think, the onus is on you to prove this is meaningful & that PBs don't actually block the brain development required to understand the decision.
I haven't made any claims, so obviously the onus isnβt on me to prove them π€·ββοΈ
For clarity, my question was not whether PBs affect IQ once patients are off PBs. My question was whether they block pubertal brain development. If you claim PBs give kids time to think, you need to show blocking other maturation doesn't block the brain maturation reqd to understand what's at stake
Really pissed off that "reform" now autocorrects to "Reform"
My question was whether you think PBs don't affect brain development. Your screenshot is clear that they have cognitive effects, & goes further in saying that there is no evidence these effects are fully reversible.
You don't seem to have read your own screenshot π
You're probably going to miss this unless you'd been married to a sociopath like I was, but the real tell is not the expedient lie, it's the *pointless* lie. Everybody lies to protect themselves or shore up their self image; the dangerous people are the ones who embellish reflexively, for no reason.
Is your position that PBs don't block the brain development that comes with puberty?
I think the ethical issues with requiring surgery for rights are real - surgery carries real risks. On the other hand, if GRCs conferred only honorific status & not legal rights (not currently true even though the EA situation is fine) it seems overkill to require surgery.
The law as it stands reflects the position you've laid out; what do you think needs reform?
Yes - the conflation of sex & gender, of medical transition & self-ID, of gender dysphoria & sex change etc are all fundamental to their position. All their best arguments are motte & bailey.
You could probably say similar things for a lot of conditions in the DSM. Have we always had people who felt some variety of X? Yes. Was it X avant la lettre? Unanswerable; the way X is constructed shapes experiences now, & we also interpret feelings now construed as X as evidence of X in the past
We've had people who are various degrees & kinds of uncomfortable with gender norms for as long as we've had the norms. The conceit that sex doesn't exist apart from / before the norms is recent, as is the idea that you can literally change sex or that gender ID should always determine social rules

This claim is unsupported by the evidence & making claims like this about suicide is dangerous. Please have a look at the Samaritans guidance on discussing suicide & try to avoid alarming generalisations www.gov.uk/government/p...
Trump's decision to bomb Iran is now the greatest windfall to the Russian war effort on record. If it continues, it might save the Russian war economy.
Problem any UK government would face in this situation is that it is many years since one of them provided any kind of realistic explanation for the state of the economy. Doing so at crisis time sounds like excuses, but perhaps better late than never.
I am so serious when I say that there is a direct line to be drawn between Evangelism having no meaningful concept of the future save death and American conservatives having zero awareness of or interest in the future consequences of their actions
Britain is in a deep structural economic hole thanks to austerity, Brexit and global shocks that is nearly impossible to get out of. It is rather unfair to expect government to reverse those long-term drags on national prosperity, but it needs to start explaining to voters why we are where we are.
