They have Makhanya. They bring in an in-prime 25 year old in Larsen from Brann. But then decide to also bring in Martinez from Juvetud, a teenager from USL, & a teenager on loan from Atlanta...

Toronto FC needed a strong defensive performance in Week 3 after allowing 6 goals across the 1st two weeks of the season. I am glad that they did now that Zane Monlouis is back & Stefanovic got some minutes

This team with Josh Sargent up top could be some fun!!!

FC Cincinnati now with back to back 1-0 losses after their week 3 loss vs Toronto. The Evander injury plays a major key in this... but I have my concerns around this team being top of the East potential

Denkey has not lived up to his price tag as well... which hasn't helped

Shoutout to CF Montreal on getting their 1st win & first goals of 2026. This is still not a good team though... sorry

Thomas Gillier is an elite GK & that is the bright spot for this team every week. Pretty sick to see Wiki Carmona get some revenge against Red Bulls this week

I am a bit surprised at the New York Red Bulls performance at home vs Montreal in Week 3. This is the concern of a team led by young talent... young talent can be very inconsistent

I think Red Bulls are going to be a fun, but their upcoming opponents should be a strong test

I think the Portland Timbers are bad... like really bad. No starting level ST, Antony is inconsistent, no depth to this team, & the backline is constantly in shambles

Maybe Aravena can get up to speed & help out Velde is some attacks? But this is not a playoff level team

FC Dallas I still think are & will be a great team this season. Urhoghide is the leader for defensive player of the year so far & I love Shaq Moore at RCB

This team is struggle on the offensive side of the ball even with an elite 9 like Musa up top. I think it gets figured out

LAFC remain undefeated with a 1-0 win over Dallas. Hugo Lloris has been FANTASTIC in net, Eddie Segura is a strong LB (who knew?), Nkosi Tafari & Ryan Porteous are a really strong CB duo as well

Defense has led this team in MLS play as the Son & Bouanga have started a bit slow

Colorado Rapids have not put together back to back wins after a rough Week 1 loss. Defensively, this team looks coherent w/ Lucas Herrington, Rob Holding, & Reggie Cannon playing well

Aaronson has not racked up stat sheet numbers, but all positive plays seem to run through him

I am not convinced that the Galaxy are good. Klauss has been a major upgrade at ST (4G in 3 games) which has Pec looking much better

I am not convinced of anyone along the back, Haak is not a great DM vs CB, & midfield doesn't really do much for me in terms of connecting play

Continuing on with my thoughts around the rest of the MLS clubs & games I haven't posted about yet after Week 3 action... got distracted yesterday 😂

The Seattle Sounders with 3 points on the road in Week 3… but not in convincing fashion

Injuries killing this team once again; Morris, de la Vega, Rothrock, & now add Yeimar to the list. Players are out of position, but Schmetzer gets the most out of his guys!

St. Louis City still looking for win #1 under Yoann Damet. City have a rough stretch of opponents to start 2026, but this club has fallen a bit flat

I still have hope as they can hopefully rotate in Fall (x2), Cordova, Totland, & more into the starting XI. Some good flashes

Sporting Kansas City still looking for a win after Week 3. John Pulskamp has been a bright spot for this team but still so much lacking across the attack & midfield

Players out of position, lacking top tier talent, & depth…

San Diego FC look like they aren’t slowing down from Year 1! The club has their true 9 in Marcus Ingvartsen along with their MVP candidate in Dreyer. Tverskov is still an elite 9 & they have an elite CB in Manu Duah

But 3 straight shutouts in net for 19 year old Duran Ferree 👀
