Alternate-leaved Golden Saxifrage growing on a river bank in Hampshire. A county rarity that’s persisting, thankfully.

Incredible! So early!!
Such beauties!!
For those of you who like colour forms of viola odorata, I’m thinking this is f. Lilacina; pale colour with lilac flushes, bearded inner petals and dark spur. What do you think? 🤔
Lamium hybridum ( cut leaved dead nettle) found in a pavement , Bishops Waltham, Hampshire. Never tire of seeing this plant.
Rue-leaved Saxifrage already in flower, in Lymington, Hampshire. ❤️
You and the tower cress are both looking good!
That’s great news Alex!
Has to be there!
Well done Tris!
The glory of Early Star of Bethlehem, in flower this year.
What a beauty!
Can’t agree with you more ❤️❤️
Another one of my favourites. I have it in the garden. X
It’s mine too! Have you ever seen the unusual var crenatum?
I love this little fern. Rustyback growing on a flint stone wall near home. Not many sites for it in Hampshire and it has disappeared from some sites on the Isle of Wight.
Nottingham Catchfly silene nutans is enjoying a second flush of flowers on Hayling Island.
Spiked Speedwell Veronica spicata still flowering beautifully in the Avon Gorge.
A surprise find in the shape of Dittrichia viscosa Woody Fleabane on the central reservation of a dual carriageway outside Southampton. Made my day!
May not be much to look at, but this is the very rare Potamogeton nodosus Loddon Pondweed looking rather attractive in a river on the Hampshire Berkshire border.
Thanks Paul
Thanks Paul, that’s useful to know. Glad it’s been reintroduced.
Oh no ! I read about the lorry fire, which I found upsetting as it was carrying live hens. Very sad. So glad you saw the purslane. I must go myself.
That is the best! Have yet to see it.
What a great plant. Love it. Is that a reintroduction site for it?
Now that is a great orange!!
Beautiful leaves! I’d like to see both of those.
Hello Dolly 😉
Amazing photography!!
Another one for Sorbus fans: the rare Sorbus domestica growing on coastal cliffs in a remote spot along the river Severn.
