updating my rolodex, who are my setting/narrative-focused TTRPG writers who are open for freelance work?
(don't have specific opportunities, but it's good to have folks to point towards when stuff gets sent to me that I have to pass on)
Anyway another client asked how we're "integrating AI into our products to drive efficiencies for our customers" and if anyone has a cannon that can launch me directly into the sun, I have a request.
Me a few years ago: gee I really don't appreciate how radical new technology always seems to manifest out of the military industrial complex, be nice if the "best and brightest" didn't just get snapped up by the military for their work to only become public after a 20-year delay.

no no nono nonono no nononononono.
oh my god for so many reasons no.
Here's the thing about my friend: this is her show. I was happy tossing some mealworms to her & the beau when I went by, but she worked out that getting up in my business and just taking them meant a larger share for her. Now I'm the lady on our street with a wild bird jogging straight at her.

fast friend makes sure she, and only she, gets the worm.
Bike guy meme outlining the heavy irony of American military action in Iran given the USA's history there.
Who gave Iran their first nuclear reactor? WHO GAVE IT TO THEM
Anyway British Petroleum and the CIA staged a coup in Iran in the 50s because the democratically elected prime minister ran on a platform of reclaiming oil profits from foreign interests.
Other people have said smart and useful things but that ain't me so here I am expressing frustration via mediocre memes.

Real. You can burn out from anything, even stuff you love. And burnout is not to be fucked with.

Picking a hill to die on also involves picking worthy foes to face. Dont bother squabbling with a person for whom this interaction is the closest they'll come to companionship

I'd bet money that Jim Chalmers is ready to bring it up again.
Angus Taylor, former shadow treasurer and likely challenger for the opposition leadership, forgetting to swap to his sockpuppet account before commenting "Fantastic. Great move. Well done Angus" on his own post.
Is uuhhh now a good time to bring this up again?
I think I speak for everyone when I say: ๐ก
aaaww come ON this is just cruel :/
(genuinely, it's probably a short person walking fast problem)
having a low corporeality day, 3 definitely operational automatic doors have not opened for me.
Ad-free, privacy-first services supported through user subscription is a sustainable model. Unfortunately, investors don't want sustainable. They want infinite growth, and the fact that personal data is preferrable to actual money in the pursuit of this goal is... not great.
Writing an essay about how misclassification of transgender identity as "delayed" or "disordered" in cognitive developmental psychology has held the field back for decades... meanwhile next week's study materials straight up conflate gender with biological sex. This could be a tough one.

YESSSS Ligotti and Blackwood are my top "doing the Lovecraftian unseen-horror thing but significantly better" (which is extra funny for Blackwood because they were contemporaneous)
Mentioned to dad that the subject I'm doing at the moment is Human Development Across the Lifespan and he got up, went into a cupboard, and emerged with his own textbook from uni. It's interesting to see the history, and nice to come across his notes.
