Iβm guessing you are talking about set-in sleeves. Raglan and drop shoulder sleeves are also straight seams. Set in sleeves seaming wouldnβt be too much trouble either. Once you tried, you would figure out easily. If you try and encounter any difficulty, let me know. π
Oh I didnβt realise itβs βsweater weekβ #showmeyourknits
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that many people responded. I thought I must share it. It took so long though. π
Me wearing a grey full fashioned shoulder basic jumper looking out the window.
Unpopular opinion. I love knitted flat construction. I do not like sewing pieces together or weaving in ends. Still itβs worth it in the end imo. Iβm wearing a full fashioned shoulder basic jumper knitted flat. I know it will last a life time. β€οΈ π§Ά #knitsky
My new blog post is up after a long long pause. π
The link is in bio. π§Ά #knitsky
Ov yeah!!
Yeah Gleener is the best- the one with three different blades (fine, medium & coarse) Electric ones shave too much of fabric, I found.
Loveliest thing I ever heard recently. So much bad stuff around us. Your story lifts me up this morning. So thank you.
Oh sorry there is no pattern. I knit basic mittens and socks without patterns. (This is most basic. 1x1 ribbing, stockinette & gusset for thumb, and ribbing finish) All the numbers in my head. Itβs just the result of decades of knitting.
I think you can find basic patterns on Ravelry. π€
I have the exactly same yarn and knitted a pair of mittens which Iβm wearing now. π
So good of you to finish it. Tricia would appreciate it so much in the heaven. π
Oh soooooo cute. π I donβt knit for my dogs as they will eat them but love looking at other dogs outfit!
BC Garn produces both 100% bourette silk and eri silk yarn. As far as I know there are many stockists in the UK.
Oh so cute. π

Cardigan week!
Love knitting & wearing cardigans.
I knitted this for my friend. She is more like my little sister. We lived together when we were young.
I knitted another for myself. I look forward to the day we wear it together like twins. We live so far away now. π₯² π§Ά #knitsky
Of course I do and thanks! π
𧡠FYI itβs my design. no pattern yet.

Am I late again?
Just off the needle.
I made a Christmas hat!
I realised this is the first time I ever knitted anything for Christmas. π
(Except crochet Xmas tree ornaments of course)

The sunset dyes the clouds full of orange colour. Hint of blue at the top of the photo. A couple of white houses in the photo.
After a storm comes beauty.

𧡠what is notion cox? π€ͺ Itβs Box!
A small metal box with intricate mandala patterns all over the box. The colours are blue, turquoise blue, red, brown, black & green. The biggest one is in the centre - round centre and star edge. Alongside the edge octagon mandalas are placed.

This week.. bit late on the game. Future challenge, is it?
I got this metal box from a souvenir shop in Greece. Itβs a soap box but I use it as notion cox now.
Whenever I look at it. I have an urge to recreate the pattern with crochet. Can I do it, though? π π§Ά
Yes. Not the machine one. As another person says here it will make fabric thinner over time. Search Gleener. Itβs a hand tool not a battery powered machine. It works very well and better for your precious knits! βΊοΈ
Woohoo~π€© I already used up my yarn budget. Pls do not tempt me. π
I am very surprised to find out now that some patterns suggest only one size and changing needles to up or down the size? π³
I feel like itβs cheating?!
(Iβm not into sock knitting much and have never bought a pattern. I do my own thing when it comes to socks. So I didnβt know that π)
From your photo, it looks like woolen spun yarn which means it has no twist. (Most chunky yarns are very likely woolen spun) Those pill a LOT! So if I knit something that I will use heavily, I choose worsted. So I precent pilling in a way. Hope this helps. π
Gleener! Itβs a fabric shaver. You canβt really prevent pilling. Some wool will less piling than others but they still will. The softer the wool, there would be more chance of pilling.
Anyway, I regularly use a gleener to get rid of it. I even use it for commercially sold T-shirts. π§΅
Thanks! π₯°οΏΌ
Aww but the lace/cable raglan is too pretty!
Or just finish it for the sake of knitting! π
