A problem I’ve found over here is id have no idea about the Luka trade until getting an ESPN push notification… Bluesky doesn’t disseminate breaking news as quickly as Twitter unfortunately. I had a hard time finding info on the plane crash yesterday. They need to improve that

Obviously wouldn’t apply to locals or anything. And it wouldn’t even be enforced the day of. But it could be a record kept in an app to posthumously look at the data to determine if chasing behavior was bad/illegal

That’s true… I just wish we had a way to regulate. Through an app like the FAA I guess? Geolocated registry of licensed chasers. FAA isn’t out enforcing the flight of every drone but it’s on an honor system and the threat of being caught keeps craziness at bay. Chasing has gotten awful with traffic

Certainly sounds possible. Exclude roadway travel in a wide area around a tornado and just flash a license to get closer. This would be the only feasible way to “regulate” it

I mean this is true. It probably needs some sort of half measure to reduce the backroad looky-loos on big days. But there’s no decent way to regulate it anymore than you can regulate any other public-space available recreation… hunting requires a license but its a more obvious thing to spot

A bill to regulate storm chasing in Oklahoma is interesting. Would’ve been nice to have less insane behavior from chasers the last few years to have a hand on the wheel for this?
Idk how this is enforced, what it means or anything tbh but something like this was coming with how congested things are

Man if housing was expensive before, just wait til this hits and all petroleum based products (literally everything ever made) get a 25% tariff smacked onto them. Not to mention labor, and other materials. We’re so screwed… these people are playing chicken with the entire world economy

I think it was a rotating scuddy lowering looking back… definitely a wall cloud but nothing appeared to be down from closer up
