Apparently, the IDF just did a Spec Ops: The Line on the ethical conduct scale.
Fingers crossed.
Well, it'd be pretty ineffectual.
(2/2) Catnip toys often aren't strong enough for adults, so you're better off buying a tin of Kong catnip and trying that.
Especially you're starting with a kitten, consider lining the basket with an old blanket or jumper that you've slept on, if you don't have anything from their old place.
A few thoughts... Be aware that not all cats like the same things, so you may end up with toys, etc, you don't need.
That said, litter trays with domes on the top and tilted bowls (or racks that tilt bowls) can help. Some cats love cat grass... (1/2)
I mean, we wouldn't have Fight Crab if there weren't crab fights.
Under the circumstances, I'm impressed you managed to find one that's not packed to the gills.
RE: #Glasgow fire.
Seen a panicky post saying we're being cut off from England. Please note that even if Central Station closes, there's Queen's ST, linking us to Edinburgh and the South. You don't get rid of us that easily.
Instead, here's a live feed:

This is no longer about saving the corner building. It's lost. All the SFRS can do is try to prevent what would be a catastrophic spread to Glasgow Central Station.

Footage on Facebook indicates the whole building has gone up.
I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.
Happy #InternationalWomensDay to all women, particularly my trans and queer and neurodivergent sisters, who have always provided warmth and welcome home xo

In the current climate, that's probably for the best.
Just sent off a bio for an anthology and am reminded my writing career for the last year and a bit has been like the proverbial swan.
I wish I meant the beautiful long neck / will violently chase you if it feels threatened thing.
See, now, do you see where you went wrong there?
Caitlin KALINOWSKI over X I resigned from OpenAl. I care deeply about the Robotics team and the work we built together. This wasn't an easy call. Al has an important role in national security. But surveillance of Americans without judicial oversight and lethal autonomy without human authorization are lines that deserved more deliberation than they got. This was about principle, not people. I have deep respect for Sam and the team, and I'm proud of what we built together.
OpenAI head of robotics just resigned over company deal with the Pentagon sayingβ¦

Purple background, white text, which says You see, imagining alternatives to oppression isn't escapism. Power structures, after all, are human constructions. When humans can build, they can also rebuild. "Indian Feminist Science Fiction: A History (Part 1)" -- Amritesh Mukherjee
Amritesh Mukherjee makes a powerful argument about what Indian feminist science fiction is doing, and how it - sometimes , anyway - imagines a better future...

On this note, I recently learned that the way that many Netflix series are run and then abruptly cancelled is similar to the way money is laundered.
Gosh. If all our entertainment and arts were simply ways for billionnaires and conglomerates to avoid tax, that'd explain an awful lot, wouldn't it?
Last night of this in Glasgow before it moves to Edinburgh from Monday 9th March. If you've ever wanted to get a proper sense of the Greek Myths we read as kids, this is a retelling and a half of the tale of Dionysus and the King of Thebes. Ewan Downie's a mesmerizing performer.
there's an old adage: "when a product appears to be free, you're the product" (usually, this means the product makes its money through advertising)
in light of the last few years, we can add an addendum: "if a business is run at a loss, it's another business's operating expense"
The Geneva Convention smells like poo.
really tired of conversations about how we need to get people to spend more time offline that don't acknowledge that one of the reasons people ARE online is their access needs aren't being met in physical spaces. This is especially true for queer people and disabled people.
Circle trip! Circle trip! We're making a special trip to see our Ewan Downie's The Bacchae in Glasgow tonight. Dates across Scotland this Spring and Summer at the link below.
