Melissa gave me a bunny and almost dropped it so I made a Con Air reference (mug) and she didn’t get it so today I’m gonna be a war criminal like Chopper

Riley isn’t a morning pup

Ok it’s super improvised and will need one thing to help the top area feel more secure but this was the weird lil fix. Probably would work better with weight instead of seeing it with light plastic things but still

Good thing 1 for today: nailed my weekly quality call review so huzzah for that.
Good thing 2: turned a hanging plant thing I made a little wonky and figured out a fix for it which was to turn it into a 2 plant holding hanger so yay for that too

Pray for me y’all. I was up all night with Riley, all bedding had to get tossed in the wash on my way to work this morning due to it, & my body feels like hell. Give your pets kisses for me

On my way back from my gastro appt earlier, I drove past a yard covered in purple crocus flowers and that made me really happy. Felt like I should share that with people - something good

Leg wise her arthritis is super fun & she may have done a small tear in her right knee a while back that is coming & going pain wise.
She is such a love bug I just want my baby to be ok

She got chicken nuggets as a sorry on the way home & grandma will watch her when I go to my doc in a sec but fuck, not the morning we expected & I’ll be nervous til we can properly figure out what’s going on health wise for her

Riley’s vet day didn’t quite go as planned. She broke sedation 2x while trying to do her butt glands & when we tried to get samples of a hard lump found inside her right one. So she has to go back on the 8th for heavier sedation. Learned one of her knees might have done a thing too.

Best WFH helper. Helping with an event and happy they let me do it for a few hours from home today. Which means Riley gets to sleep next to me all comfy and shit

Bonus how I woke up this morning after finally managing to get my sleeping spot back from Riley & convincing her the silk pillow side is just as nice

New therapy level unlocked: getting your therapist into plants & the session starting with them holding them all up for you to see

Same with planters - I taught her to keep things in nursery pots so our adhd can safely do its thing when we get bored with one pot and want a plant in another

What I’m realizing is that we both keep bringing each other plants to justify getting them (especially the lil cheap bbs) to get the dopamine rush, then try to pretend we don’t have plant addictions and are just being nice with a fun gift to turn our office space / homes into a jungle

I would say I created a monster in making Melissa a plant parent but it’s too fun! Look what she brought in for me today! My first Rex Begonia and first Ruby Ficus!

I just made up a full on old timey-musical number complete with dance to congratulate my brother on being too old for a draft then proceeded to hand him a box of Thin Mints.
Which is American for “great” I think

Today would have been my dad’s 99th birthday. In a month it’ll be his 15th deathaversery. Time is weird. I miss him a lot & I’m wearing his things today to feel him near.
May he trip your enemies for you today. Then he’d Snidely laugh after like I do.
