I'm watching 'Smiley's People' (1982) and I'm struck by the confused vagueness of its representation of the Baltic states. I haven't read the book, which might be better, but the TV series seems to muddle up White Russians with Estonians, and is vague on the reasons Estonians might oppose the USSR
Ha ha, I confess I enjoy playing Wordle and Quordle daily. The formation of the p in pastures led me to the likely first letter of the mystery word. Glad to have been of help!
