He was such a jerk for at least a quarter of the game and I wanted to highlight that, among some other things that'll come to light soon. Rareware tried to cover some pretty heavy topics in DP and SFA but didn't do it very good, so I gotta take matters into my own hands!
Nintendo seems to want to sweep Starfox under the rug for some crazy reason and it's so, so sad. It has so much potential. I think they took the SFA criticism to heart, tried to reboot and remake SF64 twice because that's the favorite, and when those failed they gave up. :/

I don't want to fight about it, but it's crazy to me that anyone would think any fictional character has the will to do anything of their own volition and that absolves creators of their gross intentions. It really doesn't. Her final design has one purpose and that's 'girl sexy, also racism'.
Also, characters do not have free will. They are guided solely by the wills of their creators. And in the case of Krystal, she was designed to show as much skin as possible and sell a product via sexual appeal. They knew what they were doing.
I think it's important to realize that Krystal was designed by the same people who gave us overly sexualized female characters like Candy Kong and Berri, as well as racist caricatures like Humba and the entire Lightfoot Tribe. It was not out of pocket for the designers/producers at Rareware.
Thank you for your question! I changed it to get away from the racist undertones and egregious sexualization she's constantly associated with, if I'm being frank. I want to present her as respectfully as possible, you know?
