Another book to commend to you; @robinhoughton.bsky.social's debut, 'The Mayday Diaries'. Opening section nails the imposteri-ness, silliness and general WTF that is modern white collar work; rest of the book is stuffed with poems full of vivacity like so. Brava! www.pindroppress.com/books/The%20...
Here's Erica McAlpine discussing her new book 'Small Pointed Things' from @carcanet.bsky.social in our latest episode...with @robinhoughton.bsky.social and @peter-kenny.bsky.social

Poems that tremble with tension and beauty, cupping darkness and secret trauma. Richard Scott shares from his new collection 'That Broke into Shining Crystals, from @faberbooks.bsky.social. Hosted by @robinhoughton.bsky.social and @peter-kenny.bsky.social www.buzzsprout.com/1414696/epis...
Absolutely wonderful work from Richard Scott -- and a lovely man to interview. I've genuinely have not read a book of poetry for months that struck me so hard with its power and originality as 'That Broke into Shining Crystals'.
In our latest @planetpoetry.bsky.social episode Robin meets Isabelle Baafi with talking about her hotly anticipated collection Chaotic Good from

Had great fun chatting to David Crosier on Seahaven FM on his new series Crozier's Creatives. A splendid host who asked great questions. And I got to choose a few of my favourite tunes and read a few poems player.autopod.xyz/868608
Supernatural Tales 58 now released into the wild. Happy to have penned a contribution to the canon of rabbit based horror π
Great to interview @peterdaniels.bsky.social, hear poems from 'Old Men' on the @planetpoetry.bsky.social podcast. We also discuss Leland Bardwell, and Timothy Gallagher a writer of monologues -- plus we report hotfoot from the National Poetry Competition awards. www.buzzsprout.com/1414696/epis...
A snap I took of @fionalarkin.bsky.social reading her prize-winning poem last night. A well deserved win I thought!
Seaford, my newish hometown, has its Litfest 25 organised by Seahaven Poets. Lots of poetry events over ten days. I'm looking forward to doing a reading at the Wellington Hotel as guest on their open night on 12th April. Here's a link to the runners and riders... seahavenpoets.co.uk/litfest-2025...

collection 'Crystal' and we shoot for the stars with John Donne, Odysseus Elytis and Tomas Transtromer... with your hosts @robinhoughton.bsky.social
& @peter-kenny.bsky.social www.buzzsprout.com/1414696/epis...
This spring's Supernatural Tales has a story I'm rather pleased with in it about a sinister rabbit. (Rabbits poorly-represented in horror). Poetry cracks the shell of our perception, so we peer out at the world afresh. Good horror does that too, but darkly.

Have a great time! And thanks again for coming on our podcast. The more I read, and think about, Girl the more I love it.
Loved talking to @ruthpadel.bsky.social about her fabulous collection Girl, and hearing her exquisite poems. From the annunciation to a serpent goddess glimpsed from a London bus. Plus poignant work by Siegfried Baber listen to @planetpoetry.bsky.social here www.buzzsprout.com/1414696/epis...
Cheers Lawrence!
Big thanks to @hannahl1n.bsky.social whose poet lists Iβve just followed. Looking forward to making many new friends on here.
Thank you very much Hannah! Will do.
Peter Kenny and Matthew Pollard focusing intently together during the recording of their album Clameur. Picture by Adrian Turner.
13 years since Clameur. One of the collaborations I am most proud of is still findable on Spotify. The main piece 'This Concert Will Fall In Love With You' is about a concert that falls in love with its audience. This retains a weird power and Matthew Pollard's music is spellbinding and exquisite.
Ooh thatβs brilliant! Thank you Helen!
Hello Jane! All the best people are here I see XX
Hello! Happy to be here and hoping for better vibes. Here's a link to the latest episode of the Planet Poetry podcast, where my partner in crime Robin Houghton interviews Tishani Doshi. www.buzzsprout.com/1414696/epis...
