I didnβt realize you were making these, bravo!

Had a warm body day at work after getting home around midnight. The onion seedlings are coming along very nicely. Gave them a generous feed of fish and seaweed emulsion. Did some paperwork for a bit and then got clouds on the sky gradient. Weight workout after work and home reading a good book.
Many years ago I painstakingly hand sewed and embroidered this Regency era dress from old bed sheets. I wanted a 100% natural fabric to get it as close to period appropriate as possible. Last night I attended a Bridgerton costume party and got to wear it yet again. A great time was had.
Yesterday was a couch burrito day, rolled up in fuzzy blankets. I checked on the bees and they had taken out the sugar and were attacking the pollen patty. Made a quitatta for dinner from fresh eggs from one of my gardening clients. I threw some onions, garlic, rosemary, and some chix sausage.
Sundayβs child is full of grace.
No woe for you, and no grace for me, oopsie, oh well.π€·πΌββοΈ
Breaded chicken sandwich day.
I have gardened my buns off the last two days. We cut down ornamental grasses, sheared more Spirea and Perovskia, and got the last berry patch pruned. I got almost all my weekly intensity minutes in yesterday and today put me over the top. We finished the day with tool maintenance.
It was gorgeous out today and it broke the 50F mark. After work I took some time to pack the truck for tomorrow morning. I fed the bees a bit of granular sugar and protein patty as they weee getting light. Croci burst into bloom and I took myself out for a low tide beach run.
After months of taunting by my UK friends it has finally happened! Behold the first croci has broken through with the squill not far behind. I raked up storm debris, finished clip down, weeded, and edged, until my back lodged a complaint. Celestine celebrated the lovely weather with binking!
Out all day pruning Rosa rugosa, shearing and cleaning out Spirea, and some rejuvenation pruning on Perovskia. We also cleaned a lot of leaves and debris out of shrub bases and I spread some Milorganite to keep the deer off of the emerging bulb tips. Itβs a mess after the blizzard.
My great Sunday plans are to clean up all the fallen limbs from the storm. Prune my pears and burn the whole pile in my burn barrel in the morel bed.
Another day at the station and another amaryllis decided to bloom. This one is a pale blush pink and the bulb is tiny. I will have to feed it well and get the bulbs plump. I am planning to garden tomorrow so I sharpened and cleaned my shears and Felco pruners. Truck is packed, itβs official.
It was such a gorgeous day out today! Unfortunately, it wasnβt spent in the garden as I had to run about doing odds and ends. I did look at my hive and everyone was out for a bit of exercise. I spotted a drone, a DRONE!!! Checked the stairs for clearance and took myself out for a beach run.
What kind of squash?
I always keep a pair of shorts in my closet in the winter and a pair of pants in the summer. Weather is fickle.
Thanks, took me a long time to be ok with pink.
Spicy peppers are looking good. Serrano chile was the clear varietal winner with only one cell not germinating. One lonely early jalapeΓ±o made it and tue rest are history. Got sweet peppers started today, might do a couple eggplant weβll see. Onions are ready for their first haircut and feed.
Happy meteorological spring!
Coming back on the ferry after a fun night off island with friends. Hit the gym, watched a movie, and did a horrible job plastering a wall after talking smack. Learned I could bench press 120 pounds at the gym and was pleasantly surprised with my running stamina on the hill program. Back to work.
Apparently my workout gear is now considered adult content. Watch yourself out there, good lawd.
Struggled through yesterdayβs weight routine. I keep thinking of my best and getting frustrated with all the less than ideal workouts. I just kept telling myself a bad workout is still a workout. This morning my glutes and quads are lodging a protest but I donβt care!
Out for a gorgeous beach run this morning and I was way overdressed. Stripped my mid layer before I even started and by the end thought shorts wouldnβt be amiss. The snow is melting before my eyes and leaving a big mess of tangled limbs and snapped branches to clean up. Silver lining free mulch!
Itβs been a couple of hazy days as the storm disrupted my timeline. I did a soft opening on Tuesday as the travel ban was still in place. Plows, utilities, police, furnace tech, electricians and house watchers were all out in force as the lineman continued the struggle to get power on.
The joys of having all the gear. It was up to, and over, the tops of my Sorels. Probably about 2ft I would say. Buns were fine and appreciated the water snd greens top off. Got my truck shoveled out and cleaned off for tomorrow morning.
The blizzard is blizzarding. We still have power but we have a direct line to the power company. I made soup on the gas stove and Seth made ice cream from snow. I have to go out soon and check on the buns so I should get a better idea how much snow we got. Over a foot with 50-60mph winds.
I had followed you, I enjoy your posts. I was creeping about trying to find the cheap t-shirt shop you dissed and accidentally hit the unfollow button. My curiosity got the better of me, I confess.
Out early for some last heating oil deliveries before the storm. Got the buns freshened, fed, and locked in their hutches until Tuesday morning. Iβll have to go out in the snow and top them off tomorrow. Then I took myself for another exercise session before everything gets snowed in.
The B word means an extra day off from work, yay!
It was a hectic day at the gas station as people filled up before the storm. Unfortunately, we were out of food so we had to brave the busy grocery store and stock up. Took a much needed walk on the trails with a friend as the sun set. All cozy now eating all the lovely nibbles we bought.
