It’s been a while since I posted on here. A lot has been going on and I’ve been really busy. I finished up school and now I’m in the process of getting my portfolio website together so I can start apply for junior dev jobs and internships. We’ll see how that goes. I also want to work on more games!
I saw Mickey 17 tonight. I loved it! It was weird in all the best ways. Had a lot surprising similarities to nausicaa of the valley of the wind
I can’t wait to be done with school so I can go back to making games in between job searching

I’ll get more into it when I post the clip, but what I like about the theme for this jam (bubble) is it made me create something I wouldn’t have even considered otherwise.
I have the beginnings of my Global Game Jam project! I’ll post a clip when I get home. It’s very much in early stages but I got what was probably the most complicated feature sorted out so from here it’s just building the game around that

It’s been a minute since I posted on here, I’ve just been super busy with school. Tomorrow my school is hosting an in person game jam, so I’m super excited to go to that. I’ll definitely post screenshots of whatever I end up making so stay tuned!
My college is hosting a game jam next weekend so that’ll be fun. The point is collaboration so I hope I can find some folks that are fun to work with and we can make something cool!

I love seeing trans people living their best life. It’s scary and disappointing how intolerant and conservative the US has become, but when I see a trans person on social media absolutely killing it I get hopeful.

That’s a good point! I think my game is more analogous to something like kings quest more so than Zelda though. In Zelda you have combat, in medroid you have combat and platforming. I’m excited to check out OOLO though!
Once I realized that I should be thinking of this like a classic point and click adventure game, things started falling into place a little bit more
