We continue to push to end the tax cuts to billionaires, to support working people and make our country affordable again.

Working people should be able to afford the house they live in, access to universal childcare and a healthcare system that covers everyone.

Today I stand with the working people of our city, on Labor Day, to remember the hard fought battles that won us an 8 hour work week, the minimum wage, created the social safety net and dismantled child labor mills.

I'm running for Mayor.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve called Tallahassee home. Our city is special in so many ways and I’m ready to help restore the voice of the people at City Hall.

Enjoy the first day back to school and a huge thanks to all our teachers and support personnel in Leon County Schools.

Dropped the boys off at Sealey Elementary this morning and was greeted by our Tallahassee firefighters waving at the street and the wonderful principal Demetria Clemons smiling at the front door. Thankful for this village in helping our kids transition into smart, polite young men!

We’ve been working to address the vacant and dangerous building on Gadsden St. next to Lemoyne.

After not previously addressing issues, the owners now have 10 days to board and seal the building and clean up the yard and lawn.

Thanks to our Code Enforcement Officers working diligently.

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.
