ICE deported a 6-year-old child to Colombia last week — and REFUSED to let family members hand over the child's HEARING AIDS during detention, leaving this boy without language access during a traumatic experience.
This isn't an oversight. It's a disability rights violation.

Disabled input should be involved at every level of decision making that impacts disabled people.
Whether someone's mind or body can produce any one outcome or be monetized for gain is not the measure of an individual. A society that treats its members as widgets to exploit or discard is weak in the only currency that matters; human flourishing.
