Looking for the common ground, there is alway something; for me and slugs it is that we both want to eat the cabbages I grow. Political but not party political. British & European. Brexit was a mistake. I'm too old to bother with age verification.
If these men where even half as smart and capable as they claim to be they wouldn't need to tip the playing field in their favour to stay ahead. They achieved their success with unfair advantage to which they feel entitled, and losing that privilege scares the life out of them.
Not much progress can be made while the red lines are in place but it does matter that the discussions are now out in the open and government is not shying away from acknowledging the damaging impact of Brexit, not only on the economy but also security, personal opportunites and national influence.

The success rate of appeals that were heard by the tribunal was 36% for the last quarter of 2025. That's a slight drop, reflecting the increasing common practice of the Home Office withdrawing prior to the hearing. Overall, more asylum appeals are being successful.

The Taliban denies women higher education and now the uk is telling Afghan women they can’t access higher education here. I honestly can’t understand this level of performative cruelty!
