Oooo! Honestly, I continue to be heartened that the majority of general readers (who I know of) really got TETK and what I was trying to do with it.

I get (for me) a lot of reactions to a specific point in the book (just before/around the intermission)--definitely a harrowing scene in this case!

The toxic gas reminds me of how the sudden widespread use of combustion engines/cars led to toxic smog everywhere while corporations continuously claimed it was Not Toxic and If It Was its Not Their Fault
