Here is the list of programs that ED effectively seeks to move to other agencies. Many higher education programs will go to the Department of Labor, but the most obvious move (Federal Student Aid to Treasury) is not happening at this time.
and at the end of the day, no SPP to capture representative, real-time data & questions. no current plans for US participation in the 2028 ICILS to measure computational thinking & digital literacy skills. and still no NCES.

For NCES (ED), ESRA outlines the data required for collection & dissemination, with some leeway for additional data needed for COE reporting (e.g., longitudinal studies)

In the past 4 weeks in Chicago, ICE/CBP have snatched hundreds of people off the streets & homes, shot & killed a single-father in his car, smashed & abandoned countless cars, and deployed chemical munitions at protesters, journalists, & now on public streets. Today they cuffed an alderperson.
By my read, the only way for a university to comply with this compact is to gut their social sciences, arts, and humanities, and a good chunk of their sciences, too.
