I think I'm uninstalling Tekken 8 today...... How disappointing
Any recommendations then for title covers? In terms of people you would suggest?
Very cool stuff. Do you do commissions?
Just gotta step up and do it. I think it's really good for players to do so as well. I have found many players who are kinda afraid to, which I imagine is where that idea is coming from.
If you see this post a vampire
NIGHT sounds pretty intense and a lot of fun. Ill check it out
What kind of games do you make?
Ive considered doing something more simple too, but my game is kinda weird in that its nice to have bars around the tokens that are easily adjustable like a slider. This is due to have lots of action pools to keep track of. Which wasnt too bad in person at all, but i need something online for it
Working on putting together Foundry scenes finally. It's the first time ive really tried anything like it, my group has usually always done it in person but I moved, so i want to be able to have us all still play even if far away. Its exciting and intimedaiting.
Also had an update to the Rulebook, showing off examples for skill and spell creation, take a look and let me know!
'Stamina', used for dexterity, speed, acrobatics and the like and 'Mana' for mind, knowledge, and magic. Each pool decreases as used and refills at the beginning of your turn not the round. This results in multiple actions that decrease in strength or use over the course of a round.
Since im mostly designing this system, I thought it would be fun to show off some of it. In the Stardust Spectrum, players only need 1d20 which is used for allmost everything. Players have 3 action pools available to them, including 'Vigor', used for melee and the like, โฌ๏ธ
I really like Azgaar's fantasy map generator. Its perfect for world/continent maps. This is a part of the world with a mountain that stretches around the entire planet.
Agreed. Everything tends to run the smoothist from my experience. Like, the game actually gets played and everyone is usually invested and never really left out either. Comes down to having natural fluid motion between everyone and the game.
Oh my other very mild ttrpg take is that small groups are best. Iโd much rather have 3 player characters than any other number. 2 player characters is also great, but 3 is my favorite.
If you find an alternative, let me know
I see, as far as lore is concerned, I suggest real-world historical influences, and maybe some magic the gathering merfolk lore. In my campaign I have merfolk, that come from an island that rises and sinks over periods of time, thus why they are merfolk, aquatic-human hybrid.
What kind of info are you looking for exactly?
I wish I knew how to make that stop or go away
Sure do, where I'm at now lol
Might be helpful to have some people in your life help out, in anyway really. I find that its keeps motivation up just trying to talk about the things you want to work on when its things that aren't our favorites to write up.
Show me the four games that influenced your current game project.
#TTRPG
Got a good laugh out of this
Ultimately, it depends on how different the system is from something like Dnd or pathfinder. I ended up needing to use foundry because of how different the Stardust Spectrum is as a ttrpg.
Depending on how much effort you are looking to put in. Roll 20 is free and simple as long as you aren't trying to do too much. Foundry is a one time cost of $50, but allows for a lot of customization with a learning curve. There is also owl bear studio as an option
In person or online? Resources are pretty different depending. Either way, hero forge is a fun, free option players can use to make their characters and screenshot the end result.
interesting, i was just running down all of the examples for the stardust spectrum, and its a lot of extra work, but i think the point stands that it is important to provide strong examples but i am tired..... lol
If you're interested in play tests, I'm looking for people to try out the Stardust Spectrum. It's got multiple action pools, 1d20 system. Let me if that sounds like something you'd be willing to try. Info can be found on the github page linked on my profile.
who'd ya get to do the logo? looks good!
It uses multiple action pools, and I'm looking for play tasters. You can find the github link on my profile, free to try. If it's something that sounds interesting, let me know
