Medical professionals do more, longer shifts in worse conditions with higher stakes! The lean staffing seems to be built into into the very pedagogical assumptions.
And by all reports, being in the medical industry? Terrible experience. We ask medical professionals to undertake work schedules that are utterly unreasonable and antithetical to good function. We know office workers are more efficient with shorter and fewer work days.
In Aotearoa New Zealand it took me over four years for a request to a gp to turn into a diagnostic appointment, and despite our public healthcare system AND private insurance I had to pay out of pocket. There just aren't enough doctors or nurses in the public system.
It's important to remember that the stock market is not reflective of the value of the comnpanies listed, it is a mood ring for rich people.
