The very same aircraft that would be essential to protecting Taiwan in the event that China attempted to annex that island. I fear that China will exploit the ignorance of the current administration to make it possible for them to sail into Taiwan unopposed.

Given this ridiculous administration, China could drain the US munitions supply, at no risk to themselves, simply by shooting down F-35s, Drones, and other IDF and US aircraft over Iran.

There is a rail line between Tehran and China. So it is in China's strategic interest to keep Iran in their pocket. So what happens if China declares a "no fly" zone over Iran to protect its interests there?

The administration claims to be concerned about China. They should be. One of the things China did in the Korean war was "support" the North Koreans and they pushed the US to a stalemate that lives on today.

Two things can be true at the same time, you can have a solid supply of munitions on hand, AND you can have the ability to expends those munitions faster than you can replenish them. Look at the Russia-Ukraine war for a recent clear example of this.

Do you know that moment when you walk up to someone and out of the blue, haul back and punch them so hard they keel over and drop to their knees? If you think you have "won the fight" at that moment, you are very very wrong.

The alternative is to believe the is is the end of the world order as we knew it. It takes awhile to be able to live with that understanding. Mostly, nobody knows what there life is like on the other side of this and they are scared. Some think they do, but history teaches us they don't.

Does it strike you how much the US sounds like Russia these days? I mean next thing you know, Rubio will argue that Iran isn't a "real" country or some such nonsense.

It is almost like they didn't see ANYTHING that the IDF did in Gaza right? I mean if Netanyahu has the green light to genocide he's gonna take it. He won't get another shot.

Sooooo many people miss this point. It's like they had zero idea what was in the deal in the first place. You can't end just "the parts of the deal you don't like" you end it all and have to start over. That is a solid gift for Iran.

Interestingly, when they billed me for a tariff they paid on my behalf, I wrote back suggesting that I would only pay the invoice AFTER the Supreme Court ruled that they were legal. They didn't bother me and the balance due disappeared from my account yesterday when I checked.
