January had some delightful escapism and cozy book to offset my heavy reads.

This was a hard read for me right now, but important. This book laid out how Audre Lorde’s assertion

The master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house

applies to me and my career. If you work with nonprofits or grants, you should read this. Advocacy is suffocating using capitalist tools

Taking today one stitch at a time.

I’ll take a cold hike over a hot one any day. We had a bit of drizzle but it was still a wonderful day on the AT.

Now to cuddle up with some hot cocoa and let the snow come.
