STOP THE COUNT!
STOP THE COUNT!
Very plausible in many wards, I'm just not convinced this will happen in enough places to offset the likely losses in other boroughs across London
That total includes city of London wards, which aren't usually included in the count as they're legally a different entity to the London boroughs, elections are non partisan and some wards have zero residents. Plus they're not up for Election until 2029 so not part of this cycle
The yellow wall is alive and well in Dudley
You're right, and they may go forward in boroughs like Harrow, Barnet, maybe rebound in Westminster? But I suspect they'll be hammered in Bexleyheath, havering so I'd guess a net loss across London at this stage
Bombe's predicted numbers add up to 1828, so more seats than exist in London, and this assumes zero seats for independents and residents groups, which will not happen. I'd treat this data with extreme skepticism
In 2022, the Tories were in trouble, but they were still at 35% in the polls. They're now at about 20%. The maths is not mathing here

12/n There is a massive gap in the centre of UK politics for a pragmatic party of effective government. Neither populist challenger - the Greens and Reform - can fill that. Neither can the discredited Tories or Labour. The Lib Dems need to up their game to take the opportunity there to be grasped.
Alas it was not to be...
Thirded
I think I'd piss myself laughing
I'm hearing the Conservatives are confident about Susan Hall's chances in Gorton and Denton tonight
Farage will blame postal votes for losing again
yeah; it's part of the same phenomenon that has put us in this fascist nightmare. The Senate and electoral college give immense power to white rural voters, which means Ds have to win red states to compete. 1
If Jackie wins, I'm streaking down Hyde Road

Jim Pickard @pickardje.bsky.social Evans apologized and said it was the kind of "genuine mistake that we can all make from time to time." Reform said it investigated, "considers it an honest mistake and will not be taking any action," having accepted his version of events. Farage accuses Starmer of inciting violence against Reform 30 Sept 2025 - Nigel Farage has accused Sir Keir Starmer of inciting violence against Reform UK MPs and campaigners by accusing him of racism.
Farage and Reformβs attitude to what or what isnβt violent language is interesting isnβt it
