Four years ago I woke up at 5 am from distant explosions. I asked my boyfriend if he heard them too, he said he didn’t and I should go back to sleep. I tried to calm myself down, went on the internet, it was silent, no news or explanations.
Painted illustrations of individual hands, made for practice. The one on top is open, palm up, as if receving or reaching for something. The fingers are discoloured a deep, reddish purple, and there are a few raused veins showing. The nails are trimmed short and some of them are cracked and split. On each finger there is a pitted scar in the shape of runes, and together they form the word "blót", meaning sacrifice in old norse. The second hand is reminiscient of the first, same coloration and scars, but the position is a strange clenched one, as if showing great strain.
Some hand practice ✨️ Rún has really interesting hands, I draw them more than all of him at this point 💀
