The Apollo CSM with white paint.
Skylab Apollo CSM. For Skylab, the Apollo CSM went through a number of changes. The most obvious change was the use of white thermal control paint on the side of the spacecraft that would face the sun while docked to the station.

Reminiscing now about my first job as a game developer, when lighting was so expensive we couldn't even pre-bake it.
We made a single texture sheet with a lit side on top, a shadow side on the bottom, and a gradient in between, and placed all our shadows by hand with geometry cuts and UV mapping
