Seeing as Klopp was looking to sell Nunez, before he decided to leave instead, I doubt it. Am I right in thinking even his Saudi Arabian club wants to move Darwin on already?

I agree on Elliott but he doesn't have the speed, power or pressing ability to work as a right winger or centre midfielder.
He felt out of place at Liverpool last season, though he probably would have enjoyed being cover and competition for Wirtz in the CAM position this season.
That's on Slot.
Klopp was getting ready to sell Nunez too. He wasn't a first team starter but that is what we paid for.
Diaz also wanted to leave the summer before but begrudgingly stayed, then won the league and still left.
Trent wanted Real Madrid, I honestly don't think Klopp could have convinced him to stay.
It feels like #LFC is stuck in limbo.
Where we can setup to defend and hope our individual attackers have a moment of brilliance to win the game.
Or we can setup to attack and hope our individual defenders have a moment of brilliance to keep us in the lead.
We seem incapable of doing both though.
It would be one thing if #LFC had gone really defensive in the short term and were regularly winning games 1-0 or 2-1.
Or if we just kept playing the way we did at the start and continue to win or lose games in extra time because long term we will get better and be winning those games comfortably.
Now, the players #LFC sold and bought is not on Arne Slot.
The individual form of players is not on Arne Slot either, to an extent.
To be almost 3/4 of a way through a season and, as fans, we are not convinced any changes made so far have worked (short or long term) does have to fall on Arne Slot.
No Premier League team won their first leg match in the Champions League?
Arsenal and Newcastle are looking pretty level with 1-1 draws, Liverpool are the next best team with only a 1-0 defeat they need to make up for.
Is Man City's 3-0 loss or Chelsea and Tottenham's 5-2 losses the worst results?
I still believe #LFC are struggling with the changes we had to make.
Selling Trent and buying Frimpong was a big change.
Selling Diaz and buying Isak was a big change.
Playing Wirtz and Ekitike in a 4-2-3-1, instead of a 4-3-3 is a big change.
Losing Jota was a big and sadly unavoidable change.
Not qualifying for Champions League football would be really disappointing and I would expect Arne Slot to walk away instead of being sacked if that happens.
However, I do still believe a top three finish is possible, by being level on points with Chelsea and only three points behind United/Villa.
I agree, our performance last night was embarrassing but I would argue the result is not. Going to Anfield and needing to win by two goals or more is very doable on a Champions League night.
In the Premier League, we are relying on others to drop points but it is possible to be fourth this weekend.
Losing means the result was bad, obviously, but the performance from most of the team should have caused the result to be much worse.
To take a one goal disadvantage against Galatasaray back to Anfield? Yeah, I would still be extremely confident #LFC can qualify from this position. I still believe.
Are #LFC still playing a 4-2-3-1?:
Ekitike
Wirtz Szoboszlai Salah
Mac Allister Gravenberch
Kerkez Van Dijk Konate Gomez
Alisson
Or are we playing a 3-4-2-1?:
Ekitike
Wirtz Salah
Kerkez Macca Grav Dom
Gomez Van Dijk Konate
Alisson
I could see the latter being the average position for these guys.
When I first saw this post yesterday, it was a screenshot and I honestly thought this must have been from X/Twitter. I can not believe anyone still thinks fans of wrestling believe it is real sports.
Wrestling is best described as a live theatre action movie. I want to see Tom Hardy in a #AEW ring.
Xabi Alonso played with wingers at Real Madrid, arguably the best in the world, and got sacked.
Of course that was mostly down to the player power Vinicius Jr. has at that club but I would suggest his favoured system and style at Bayer Leverkusen could still work well with most of our current team.
Again, that wasn't the point of this post.
The point was if #LFC appoint Xabi Alonso and he wants us to play the system where he went undefeated in the Bundesliga, the majority of our team could do that.
Our wingers would have to go and we would need at least one centre back but it could work out.
I just think it's weird for you to comment on a post saying how #LFC could play if Alonso becomes manager with our current players.
Then for you to say Alonso should play with the players he has, by selling and replacing eight first team players. Whilst saying we should keep playing Slot's way? OK.
He does need to fit somewhere though, mate.
You and I are not talking about him being a starter next season. We are talking about him remaining as squad depth when he is 18 years old.
I am saying, in Xabi Alonso's best system and style, he wouldn't have a left winger spot to play Rio Ngumoha in.
I am really trying to work out what you are saying, because it is not making sense to me at the moment.
If Xabi Alonso becomes Liverpool manager, he shouldn't get stuck playing his favoured 3-4-2-1 that allowed him to go unbeaten in the Bundesliga. Instead he should play:
3-5-2
4-2-3-1
3-4-3
Yes?
I beg of you, please read my previous replies properly. ๐
I am talking about our first team looking like this next season:
RCB: Konate
CB: Van Dijk
LCB: Schlotterbeck
Then our squad depth options would look like this:
RCB: Leoni
CB: Jacquet
LCB: Gomez
I agree on the CDM but I wouldn't get a RW.
Don't get me wrong, I like Ngumoha and I think if we sold him he would become a top quality first team player somewhere else and cause us problems when we faced him but in Xabi Alonso's preferred system, a 3-4-2-1, he doesn't really fit in anywhere.
If you want a front three, you don't want Xabi.
So in a hypothetical situation where we bring in Xabi Alonso to replace Arne Slot, you would want us to keep playing Arne Slot's system, instead of making changes to start playing Xabi Alonso's system?
Because you think a top quality 17 year old should have a title challenging team accommodate him?
Are you reading my replies? I have said I would sell Endo, he is only in the image as the current squad depth we have as a defensive midfielder.
Elliott was not good enough for Slot but Alonso might see potential in the player of the tournament in last summer's Under 21 Euros.
Where does Rio play?
Why would Xabi Alonso not be able to play three at the back?
I am talking about extending Konate's contract, keeping Van Dijk, Gomez and Leoni, as well as Jacquet already coming in. So we would need one new centre back, two if Konate goes and three if we sell Gomez as well. Stick with what we have.
I get that but it's a bit of a paradox to say Xabi Alonso will have to play with the players he has and then claim we should replace eight players and sell seven more fringe players in the next summer transfer window.
I just find it funny your argument is Xabi Alonso will have to work wirh what he has got but then you say #LFC should lose:
Alisson
Konate
Gomez
Mac Allister
Jones
Robertson
Gakpo
Salah
Before moving on to the fringe players, which I assume are:
Ramsay
Williams
Chambers
Beck
Endo
Bajcetic
Chiesa
I am of the opinion that with a new manager coming in, a smaller than usual transfer window would be better. So I would buy:
LCB - Schlotterbeck to replace Chambers.
CDM - Wharton to replace Endo.
That's pretty much us done. Selling:
Ramsay
Endo
Bajcetic
Tsimikas
Salah
Ngumoha
Chiesa
For funds.
I disagree on Jones and Gakpo. Both are quality squad depth.
Liverpool will play three at the back if Alonso wants them to. If #LFC manage to keep Konate and Gomez, we only need one more centre back because we have bought Jacquet already.
I can see Rio going, if we do not have a position for him.
Colossus
Though I certain that came from his introduction in X-Men 2.
I get being 50/50 on Robertson but if you let him go for free and use Tsimikas or Beck to cover Kerkez, then we would be weaker next season than we were this season at LB.
To replace Robbo, we would need to buy a player as good as him to compete with Kerkez but I want money spent on other areas.
