The fantasy of it is that I wanted to create a space that was just so enveloping and, to someone who doesn't mind the touch of brass and copper, inviting. Somewhere quiet and dark and probably nice to hang out in when overstimulated

The water boiler system orange is intimate with is extremely clean. Like, sterile clean. It is magical. vast areas of it don't really rust.
The space that real pipes and boilers exist in can be so cold and dirty, which i extremely extremely dislike, so i created a made up one that is clean and warm

The interior cab of a vintage steam locomotive. The image shows the complex backhead of the boiler, featuring multiple circular pressure gauges, brass valves, levers, and a large firebox door at the bottom. The lighting creates deep shadows and sharp highlights on the metallic surfaces.

Inside the beast. This is the cab of a South African Railways steam locomotive built in Glasgow in 1944. Brought back to Glasgow in 2007, it was restored and now housed in the Riverside Transport Museum.
