Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes as White women. Doulas, midwives, nurses and obstetricians are explicitly preparing Black women to speak up loudly for themselves in the delivery room.

Integrated care for neurodivergent children? What a concept. When my son was diagnosed more than 2 decades ago it was like the Hunger Games trying to piece together services, and without any idea what I was doing. We need more of this kind of innovation in healthcare. #autism #healthcare
My enthusiasm for Thanksgiving has been seriously tested after spending this evening spatchcocking two fifteen pound turkeys, salting them, wrestling them into a cooler, and cleaning up the ensuing carnage. Clearly I have no future as a serial killer because dismembering a body is not my forte.
