My father was in the Air Force for 19 years. Enlisted make nothing compared to officers. Families of enlisted also need food stamps to survive. Officers get housing pay which is 3/4 what enlisted get paid, plus uniform pay, besides their regular income. Enlisted work other jobs to survive.
