Get a goalie, one more defenseman, a high defensive pk specialist and this is a playoff team
Gradle is throwing a hammer at some problems when all you need is to resolve dependencies and build the project. Project isolation is promising but so far is quite broken

I had to turn off almost all plugins to even get gradle sync working.of course except Apollo 😉. Sync time went down from 4+ mins to 30 seconds. I couldn’t believe my eyes . I want it now!

To have it work on all modules, you need to explicitly provide package name patterns?
The plugin still will function and be updated. So maybe just the standalone IDE itself
Sure when I’m tired. But keys to my personal success from regular to staff engineer: to time that with other tasks: meetings, writing docs, answering slack messages. Don’t wait for code to compile, do something else in parallel. Async your work!

Nothing screams gradle more than a 3-4 min import of already existing projects and dependencies into my project. Here’s to hoping project isolation fixes that 🥂

There is this fun new bug in android studio where you build and run the app, except it doesn’t actually deploy your changes. So you think it changed but it’s running old code…fun times
Sure but they can control the algorithm ordering and priority. Pushing up content that users want to see and keep them in endless echo chambers is a great way to control people. Limiting true discourse of ideas or make it easy to get away with lying…
