Volkan always loved playing the flute since he was a kit, and though he hadn't the opportunity to play again for decades as an adult, he only recently rekindled his passion for it after his newfound freedom.

Garlemald's conquest of Dalmasca would eventually cause Volkan's lifestyle to be completely unraveled, losing his family and community along with being ripped away from his home.

Volkan's bad habits:

- drinking excessively
- bottling up emotions
- breaking things easily (mostly unintentional...)
- turning away assistance/care
- often neglects self-care when focused
- non-existent sleep schedule
- uninformed, spontaneous gil spender
