Did McSweeney draft this?

Necessary but not sufficient.

He knew. And still appointed him.

Starmer needs to go.

In a touching tribute to his mentor, Morgan McSweeney has resigned in disgrace.

Absolutely blows my mind that Starmer couldn't even get it together to fire McSweeny. He's the political equivalent of a tattered plastic bag caught on a fence.

There are many good reasons why your department should hire a medievalist. Teaching the actual history of the Crusades and debunking "feudalism" so you don't wind up with trends like this is one of them.

🧬In Neolithic Çatalhöyük, family was built on social relations rather than blood ties.
Genetic analysis shows that over time, co-residents were no longer genetic relatives. Female subadults were buried with 5x more grave goods.
🔍A surprising story of Neolithic social life.

Sad news. Also noteworthy that in France the death of a notable historian is still big news in a national newspaper.
