ive never personally used stretch fur but ive sewn a lottt of stretch fabric in my time. so if u end up doing it urself and run into any roadblocks you can always dm me i may be able to help you troubleshoot :)

American fursuit makers, where do you guys get your foam for carving headbases? i always got mine from joann but now thats its closing i gotta find a different retailer 😭

I can corraborate this. The DTD i made for myself totally disintingrated after a few months because I got the cheapest tape i could 😭 if you get the rly cheap stuff at least do 3 or 4 layers of tape to ensure its sturdy
thats actually so impressive. i have some mild tremors in my hands bc of a medication so i get it. ive modified a lot of how i work on stuff to work around that too. its hard but its worth it when u make something u love

I'm a newer maker. I started making suits in 2023 and I only recently finished my fourth fursuit head, and am very close to finishing my first bodysuit.
I do this as a hobby primarily, as I work and attend university full time.
